GmbH & Co KG – Permissible legal form for civil engineer companies
The indirect management of a GmbH & Co KG by the managing director of the general partner GmbH (a licensed civil engineer) fulfills the requirement under § 29 para. 1 of the Austrian Civil Engineers Act (ZTG 2019) that management must be carried out by a natural person.
Therefore, provided that all other legal requirements are met, a civil engineer company in the legal form of a GmbH & Co KG is a permissible company structure for practicing the profession of a civil engineer.
